For that reason we are happy to allow you to use a paper system, either with or without a formal basis such as a Simplex D book, spreadsheets or a computer based program, whatever suits you.
Using a Cloud based system does give the option of allowing us accountant access. This means that we can carry out cloud reviews to see everything appears to be in order or even post tricky transactions (eg HP agreements) on your behalf.
Some clients prefer us to do their bookkeeping for them, enabling them to concentrate on what they do best. Whilst in terms of the hourly rate this can be pricier than using a bookkeeper some people do prefer the peace of mind this gives them. We can even send out customer statements if you have customers who pay on account and chase outstanding debts on your behalf. Of course if we have done the bookkeeping there is much less work to do for your year end accounts, resulting in a lower fee for these.
We are happy to take on your bookkeeping for a short period if due to seasonal fluctuations or staff illness you are unable to keep up.
Please note that HMRC are moving towards digital tax accounts by 2020 it would appear that they will insist on computerised records for larger businesses, although consultations are still running on the exact nature of these changes.
